Summary

Latiaozi, a farmer who shepherds with his wife Jinzhizi bribes a local big shot to help release their imprisoned son. When the money is taken and their son is still missing, Latiaozi goes into town to try to get his money back. He meets a lost young man on the street. Out of sympathy, Latiaozi takes him home and tries to reunite the young man with his family. But it turns out to be the worst nightmare for Latiaozi.
