The story delivers a nice payoff at the end, making the difficult puzzles worth the time

If you're into this brand of weird, wordless narrative adventures, it could be worth wiring up to 7th Sector.

7th Sector is masterly crafted game. It fiddles around some well known transhumanistic themes but it looks at them from quite original perspective. Breathtaking visuals are inspired by socialistic structures and Russian brutalist architecture placed in dystopic future. The game gives player several hours full of mathematic, geometric and physical based puzzles some of which aren't properlly balanced. However it's great game suitable for every player, that likes this videogame genre.

7th Sector is a headscratcher that’s designed for those that love to be stumped and don’t mind a little trial and error. It’s set in a game world that has a rich narrative and depth despite not really having either of these in a literal sense. There’s far to many sectors of 7th Sector which are simple too complex for their own good or actually work to the detriment of the overall product (I’m looking at you Combat section) though. When this game is good, it’s really good, but it’s just too infrequent. If you enjoyed Limbo or Inside and you’re itching for something similar, give this a go.

In 2020 traditional puzzle games aren’t exactly flying off of the shelves. I’ve spoken about issues with contemporary puzzle games before and I want to preface by saying that 7th Sector is exciting because it is pushing boundaries. It is difficult, it is atmospheric, and it tries to aim high. if you’re a fan of puzzle games with a world that isn’t merely superficial, and a decent story to match, playing through the brain demanding world of 7th Sector is, ironically, a no-brainer.

7th Sector is around 3 hours of not so fun experience; one that made lots of mistakes in designing puzzles, levels, and its narrative.

7th Sector now comes to consoles after having collected a fairly positive review on its PC version. A narrative adventure with a breakthrough based on the resolution of a wide variety of puzzles in environments of clear cyberpunk atmosphere. The story and the way of telling it is interesting, but a somewhat rough control, the total lack of explanations when facing the puzzles and some illogical resolutions make the work of Sergey Noskov luster.

7th Sector's atmospheric and immersive puzzle elements add a unique spin on the puzzle-platformer genre.

You’ll meet it with a little resistance but will soon feel surges of joy. However, your enjoyment may short circuit when you blow a fuse because of this titles shortcomings. Also, be wary of the price as there is a danger of being overcharged.

A huge surprise, with well designed puzzles and an interesting storyline to spice things up.
