Regardless of the platform, Ryza’s three-part adventure was a big deal the first time around for real reasons, and the DX version only serves as a reinforcement.

The definitive collection of Ryza’s journey, offering three massive JRPGs with improved visuals and all DLC. A cozy, addictive, and technically improved experience that shines on the new hardware.

If you’re an existing player of these games, you’ll need to judge for yourself if the newly added content is worth a new purchase, as the DX versions of the games don’t come with an upgrade path and require a whole new purchase. But for newcomers like me, this Deluxe Pack is an ideal entry point. It showcases what makes the Atelier series special while delivering a cohesive, well paced experience from start to finish. Ryza’s journey is one of growth, friendship, and discovery, and it’s absolutely worth taking.

The Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy DX is the most complete and most cost effective way to play the series, with some of the older titles especially Atelier Ryza 2 fetching a pretty penny for a physical edition with no DLC, this one has everything included and is upscaled with even some bonus content. If the Ryza series has been on your list to play for some time then this will be the way to do it. The Atelier Ryza games are light hearted less serious games compared to some other JRPG's on the market, they feel comfortable enough to want to go exploring and see it through to the end and make the game overall enjoyable.

If you have never experienced Atelier Ryza, the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack is the best opportunity to experience a valuable and memorable trilogy of the Atelier series. However, this package does not offer much new content for those who have already experienced these titles, making it hardly worth experiencing again.

Although not a huge step up from the original releases, Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack is a fantastic collection of three charming and engaging RPGs. For returning players, the new content may not be enough to warrant the cost. If, however, you’ve yet to play any of the Atelier Ryza series, then this is the best way to experience them! With plenty to see and do, and a great cast of characters to adventure with, this should be on any RPG fan’s radar.

The Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy is arguably the series of games that put Atelier on the map for a lot of players, and this remastered collection manages to do what it needs to do to sand down the edges to make for an approachable and digestible best-hits of what many consider the peak of the franchise. While I would have liked to see this collection go a bit further in their effort to bring all the games to the same standard, I can't really argue with what's been included here.

A delightful trilogy of JRPGs focused on alchemy, both in narrative and gameplay, whose combat system has evolved very positively from game to game. There are no significant new features for those who have already played them, but for those who haven't, here are the definitive versions.
