Despite the flaws that are still evident in Mundfish’s work, these are the kinds of issues that can be refined and improved over time. The team clearly has a strong vision, but in some areas the execution falls short of the heights this title could reach. Even so, this is the best, and most polished. Atomic Heart experience they’ve delivered so far. The progress is impossible to miss.

"A lackluster ending to a series that was expected to deliver more." The DLC provides a functional conclusion to the Atomic Heart storyline without rising to the level of a strong or impactful finale. It succeeds in delivering decent combat moments, especially against the bosses, but suffers from obvious repetition, a sluggish pace, and a lack of innovation. The experience is primarily aimed at those who have followed the entire series and want to finish the story, but it offers little value beyond that.

The latest expansion impresses with its new ideas, awesome atmosphere, great visuals, and finally, a very accessible price. If you already own the base game and are considering buying the DLC, there’s really nothing to think about, because it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Blood on Crystal provides a fitting finale to Atomic Heart while also laying a foundation that gives us hope for the future of the series.

Blood on Crystal serves as the necessary conclusion to the Atomic Heart arc, focusing more on providing continuity and resolution to its story than reinventing the gameplay formula. It's not an expansion that seeks to surprise with radical changes, but rather to consolidate what has been built so far and give a coherent ending to P-3's journey. From that perspective, it delivers on its promise: expanding the universe and concluding the main plot without betraying the identity of the base game. It may not be the most innovative DLC in the series, but it is certainly one of the most consistent in its purpose.
