Attack on Titan 2

Attack on Titan 2 has a lot of great things going for it: Exciting aerial battles that are true to the anime and manga, several quality-of-life improvements over the original game, and both competitive and cooperative online game modes.

A surprising and satisfying action RPG with giant saggy butts.

Attack on Titan 2 is a much improved sequel and such a vast game - you can spend hours playing and it feels like there's still so much to do. Alongside some really solid gameplay, fans of the series will enjoy interacting with beloved characters, and while the storyline isn't going to offer anything new, you'll feel like a valued part of the fight against the giant menace.

If you've played the first Attack On Titan you'll have to contend with replaying the first season of the anime/manga again, but the sequel does a much better (and more comprehensive) job of bringing the canon to life in a different medium. Combat is fast, frenetic and exhilarating, but it can get a little repetitive when played with AI teammates. However, camera issues and the occasional drop in framerate aside, Attack On Titan 2 is one of the best action adventures on Switch and the closest we're going to get to another Monster Hunter on a Nintendo console on the West - for the time being, at least.

This is an example of a sequel that improves upon its predecessor in almost every possible way.

Attack on Titan 2 has an action-packed campaign that fans of the show will enjoy along with a pretty fun multiplayer mode, even if does look a bit outdated and the traversal system can prove to be more challenging than taking down a Titan.

Even though I'd briefly tried and enjoyed it earlier this year, I went into Attack on Titan 2 expecting little more than fairly-interesting combat and a straight adaptation of the story.

Overall, Attack on Titan 2 is an improvement from the first installment of the series. This game will be enjoyed by fans as well as newcomers. I hope the game gets the attention it deserves. I hope to see continued growth as this video game series develops. My hope is that further entries will have more replayabilty and improved audio.

Attack On Titan 2: Final Battle provides hours of fun for fans of the manga/anime, though it doesn't reinvent the game. Non-fans may enjoy it despite its repetitive nature and technical issues.

With the huge success the Anime and Manga franchise has garnered, AOT2 falls perfectly into place within this universe. As a fan of the Anime, I can definitely say that I am completely satisfied with this game, and assure fans alike that the title will deliver you an unexpected experience that will gratify you for hours on end.
