Backrooms Level X

With early-2000s visuals and a VHS-like mood, Backrooms Level X relies on corridors, scares, and tension to deliver a functional horror experience for one afternoon.

Backrooms Level X is another perfect example of great indie horror game and shows how indie developers are killing it. The tense atmosphere, unnerving ambiance, unique level design; whether it be a maze or a simple straight forward area makes this one of the most tense and best “horror” game I’ve played in the last year or so. It proves that less is more. If you’re looking for a creepy, tense experience, Backrooms Level X is a must play.

We’ve found a game that, as we’ve already mentioned, perfectly captures the “backrooms” concept. This makes it a niche video game with a very specific audience. I

It’s not about constant terror, but those fleeting moments that stick with you long after the lights go out.

Though it may feature some unnerving and surprising moments, it feels more like a relatively short string of ideas than a game per se
