Car Detailing Simulator is everything it promises, and nothing more. It's an acceptable port with a few technical bugs that don't affect the experience too much. This game is simple, but it delivers, so we shouldn't demand much more than there is.

Car detailing simulator that could use some extra polish

Even if the graphics couldn’t match what the PC can achieve, there were still plenty of opportunities to capitalise on the Switch’s unique control features, but instead feels like a lazy port and pale imitation of a fun PC game. Car Detailing Simulator on Nintendo Switch can be fun for a little while, but there are far better alternatives on PC and even mobile devices.

As seen with many other simulators ported to Switch, this needs a lot of patching and tweaking to make it playable. Maybe if all that was fixed, this would be a decent experience. But there are so many better cleaning games on Switch you could try instead. Maybe the game functions better on PC, so if car detailing really is your thing, then consider looking there. For everyone else, you’re not missing out by passing on this. I found much more enjoyment cleaning my own car.

Sadly it’s another simulator where your time is more often spent on minutia and finicky controls and placement than something engaging

I really wanted to enjoy Car Detailing Simulator to the fullest. While I feel like I developed a good understanding of the controls and what to do, the glitches forced me to exit and load back in a few times. It’s unfortunate because when the title did run smoothly, it was fantastic. There are a lot of ways the game can improve. As of now, the game does not feel finished, and it might not be. Their focus is likely to be on their other VR games. It is a good game if you can handle dealing with a 90% chance of running into glitches during your playthrough.

A relaxing and immensely satisfying title, Car Detailing Simulator has a few niggling issues but is a simple and stress-free experience that was genuinely enjoyable.
