Available at a budget price, CarX Street is likely to prove to be a nice surprise for open world street racing fans. There are many clubs to join and complete, and you can take the action online if you wish. The only real downer here is that its cars aren't licensed, but you can easily tell what their real-world counterparts are, and you can customise them to your heart's content.

CarX Street feels like a custom-built car assembled from disparate parts; while it offers an anti-mainstream thrill and potential for long-term fun, its inconsistent quality and lack of optimization lead to frequent frustrations. Despite a visually appealing open world, the game struggles with unrefined difficulty and technical issues, making it a polarizing experience that might either captivate or quickly lose its appeal.

There is a lot of jank to CarX Street, yet the game is miraculously still pretty lovable. Don't go into it expecting it to make much sense, and you'll likely have a good time. With design that is bordering on anti-player, the game forces you to pay to refill your gas tank while constantly ramming you off the road with cross-traffic. But somehow, someway, it's still pretty fun.

It has the soul of a classic and strays from the more commercialized modern formulas. It's a recommendable option for all types of players, especially those looking for something different within the driving genre.

CarX Street is an interesting racing game that, considering its price tag, boasts an extensive fleet of cars, sophisticated tuning options, and a decent driving model. That said, the driving model might take some getting used to at first. On the other hand, the game could still use some work in terms of artificial intelligence and content updates. But if you’re a fan of the Need for Speed or Forza Horizon series and are looking for a racing game just to unwind, I can definitely recommend CarX Street. Six and a half out of ten.

CarX Street is undoubtedly fun, and has the potential to be an excellent open-world racing game, as it's only pretty good now. The core gameplay loop of racing and customization is solid, and the open world itself offers a decent playground to explore. However, the relentless grind for cash, the lack of meaningful activities outside of racing, and the technical issues all hold the game back. Despite its shortcomings, CarX Street on PC is a worthy contender to its triple A competitors.
