Catto's Post Office is a charming, cozy adventure with a lot of heart, but its extremely short runtime and awkward controls hold it back. While the relaxing atmosphere and wholesome message are enjoyable, the experience ends just as it feels like it's getting started. It's a nice game for those looking for a brief, laidback adventure, but players hoping for something with a little depth may be left wanting more.

Catto’s Post Office is a perfect example of the short and sweet gaming experience done right. Characters are simple and easy to remember, the world is varied without straining its boundaries, and the story only demands a sliver of your attention to enjoy. Sadly a lack of accessibility options does cost the game half a star in the final rating, but the overall experience remains incredible.

It is very easy to write off Catto's Post Office as a 30-minute fetch quest with a five-dollar price tag and awkward controls. However, beneath the surface, it is a game that reveals much about life and how to make normal days more meaningful. Spending time in a nursing home watching jumping pineapples feels meaningful, not because of the content, but because it gives time for reflection and an opportunity to spend time with one's elderly relatives. It might be difficult to take the time to reflect on these moments and give them meaning in personal day-to-day lives; however, Catto's Post Office is a reminder of the reward of doing so!

While it has some simple cozy charms, there’s simply not much to do, and what there is could have been better implemented

Catto’s Post Office is probably one of the shortest games I’ve played. However, it plays well and has a sweet story to entertain.

Lasting only about an hour, Catto’s Post Office, from In Shambles Studio, aims to take us away from daily stress and onto an island full of adorable cats in a delivery adventure – for better or worse.

Catto’s Post Office is an adorable, pun-filled, heartwarming, and sincere game, aware of how aspects that might seem small or microscopic in the grand scheme of things can still be extremely important to certain individuals, especially to a sensitive Postcat like Catto. The game made me feel as if I was watching an animated show on TVOKids, Treehouse TV, or Teletoon–sometimes your soul just needs that sort of nourishing game experience.

Catto’s Post Office is a cute adventure that could do much more if time allowed. This game would have been a platinum for me if there was just a bit more to it. That, by no means, is me saying this game is bad. It was a really cute little break from horror and games where you need to be able to think before you can do anything. Sometimes all you need is a short game to take a breather, and this game is perfect for that. More than anything, I just want to play more of it! I’m giving Catto’s Post Office the Thumb Culture Gold Award — a game definitely worth its price point!
