Clash's brilliantly surreal world is hampered by uncompromising combat and level design.

Outside of some shortcomings, I don’t think I will ever play any game that is quite like Clash: Artifacts Of Chaos and I mean that in the most positive way possible.

The fact it’s also a really fun game about punching stuff is a bonus on top of an experience that’s just… well, I’ll say it again - Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is truly beautiful.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is fueled by a gorgeous art direction that drives the obscure world of Zenozoik.

If you're looking for an action RPG with a sophisticated martial arts slant that unfolds in a fantastical alien world with a driving central narrative that invests you in the key protagonists with ease, then Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is absolutely deserving of your attention.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a game full of mixed feelings. On the one hand, I appreciate the developers’ desire to bring something new, great, and well-executed to the table. Ultimately, what stands out most about the game are its peculiar visuals and excellent audio. What hurts the game the most is the lack of a minimap and the pointless crafting and character upgrades, which I still can’t figure out why they’re even there. But if you’re a fan of martial arts and crazy super moves and combos, you’ve found the game for you.

Pretty Pugilism

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a confusing mess of a game that makes no effort to explain anything, ever. And seeing as the confusing bits relate to basic things like "Where am I going?" and "What am I supposed to do?", I feel like no amount of Zeno Clash would?ve made those things any more apparent.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos has a dazzlingly beautiful art style, but struggles to make the moment to moment gameplay feel fun.

The return to Zenozoik will please gamers looking for something different from the ordinary in terms of atmosphere, visuals and overall vibe. The gameplay, however, has issues that, on occasion, can prove to be frustrating.
