Crashlands 2 is a unique free-world crafting RPG that makes the player think little but can offer an excellent challenge, although not without some shortcomings on the technical side.

As a whole, I found Crashlands 2 to deliver that quirky, beautiful and engaging isometric survival experience I always wanted. I enjoyed the first one quite a lot, but I can happily say this new one blows it out of the water. The plot is great, the game is easy to get into, and there’s plenty of replay value, along with some cool end-game activities you can do over and over.

Even with revamped visuals and combat, Crashlands 2's take on the genre sits comfortably next to its predecessor. It doesn't particularly innovate, and some elements feel rough, but it can offer a less intense sandbox experience.

Crashlands 2 has been worth the wait, especially for those who want a simple crafting and farming game that can be played on an iPhone or PC. Its tongue-in-cheek charm, dubstep silliness, and approachability make it worth playing for hours on end…so long as you get past its initial learning sluggishness.
