Whilst the market for something neon-soaked and high octane may be lacking, Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights isn't going to be the game to reignite that spark. Shallow content, lacking multiplayer and just overall poor performance will see this one up on the blocks.

Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights is a decent competitive racer that isn’t going to break the bank. During the early hours of the night, I had difficulty finding races with human opponents, so I do have some concerns about its longevity. Overall, though, for its price point and the fact that it features crossplay functionality, it can be an absolute blast, and I had a great time with it. If you’re into racers that are quick, short and snappy with a quick adrenaline rush, then I do recommend you check this one out. Especially if you’re into some of the older arena racers such as Blur, Wipeout or even Mario Kart.

Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights burns bright with fast, explosive racing, but runs out of gas with thin modes, empty lobbies, and little replay value.

An overall bland cyberpunk combat racer with a cool aesthetic and soundtrack that stalls out due to lackluster gameplay.

Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights is a game that looks good on paper and screenshots but falls short in several aspects. The biggest issue is the AI and handling, which are key components of a racing game.

Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights has all the ingredients to make it an enjoyable cyberpunk-inspired car combat arcade racer, but ultimately it's a let-down. The handling is awkward, there's no real sense of weight or impact, and on PS5 Pro performance is terrible. Things could be turned around with an update or two, but until that happens this is best avoided.

The price of admission for Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights seems about right, actually. You could do far worse for $15, but there’s far too many bugs, is lean on modes, and just lacks refinement. All is not lost, this is a game that if you dig deep enough you might find something to latch onto. It reminds me of late 90s or early 2000s car combat games which offers a bit of nostalgia for those who were around then. But like those games were for me then, this feels like it’s just a weekend rental. I still don’t know where “Hot Import Nights” fits in to this game. Cyber Clutch: Hot Import Nights lacks anything compelling to keep you coming back, and is ultimately just perfunctory.
