It's always a delight to see how this household object or concept is brought to life.

Date Everything! is a clever, creative, and charming masterpiece in the dating sim genre. It’s innovative and addictive, with A+ voice acting, stellar character design, and genuinely hilarious gameplay. It’s the best dating sim I’ve ever played.

Date Everything provides an ideal dating simulator recipe: charming characters, a light-hearted tone, and an incredibly disturbing premise. Unfortunately, performance issues at launch also provided a significant obstacle, and I had a hard time getting over some of the narrative ups and downs. There's certainly a lot to sink your teeth into with Date Everything, which took me a little over 40 hours to complete, but I was left wondering if all the time spent was really worth it for the level of depth the game provides.

I wish the writing was a bit less shallow, which feels like a side effect of trying to cram so much in a small space and doing so with a sandbox-style structure. Visual novels benefit from guardrails preventing them from catering too much to the player, and Date Everything abstains to its own detriment. But it’s still cute and fun, and there’s no denying the dopamine hits and humor from each new character reveal. Sassy Chap’s debut game is a commendable effort, and more like this can only benefit visual novels as a whole.

Date Everything feels like too much of a good thing, as the game prioritises quantity over quality.

While it may look goofy at first glance, Date Everything is a lengthy feel-good dating sim with plenty of heart, soul, and furniture puns.

Date Everything! may seem like a silly dating sim at first, but it goes much further. Sassy Chap Games' title plays with the absurd to speak of something human: the need for connection. Behind every joke lies a sensitive game, capable of generating not only laughter but also moments of reflection. Its pacing issues and unremarkable characters aren't enough to overshadow the merit of offering a bold, fun, and unique experience. For those seeking an unusual dating sim, Date Everything! stands out as one of the most original experiences in the genre.
