I can't say that Fatal Falls will keep Dead Cells at the top of my rotation for all that long – it's bound to be a short-lived resurgence given where I'm at with this game – but I'm perfectly happy as is.

Still, after having aired my own personal opinions on the core gameplay of Dead Cells, there is nonetheless a lot of cool new stuff to see in Fatal Falls. If you love Dead Cells and want to expand your runs into three new zones, fight a new boss, and obtain new weapons, then you can’t go wrong with Fatal Falls.

This Dead Cells DLC completely passes the test. The Motion Twins devs had already created a solid game with the first Dead Cells, and this DLC only enriches it further with its new expansion. New players, just like the old timers, will be able to experience something fun which will satisfy the eyes with the amazing artistic compartment but especially the player’s want for a challenge.

Another excellent expansion filled with new weapons, powers, and extra levels, as Dead Cells continues to have some of the best post-game support in gaming.

Fatal Falls introduces two new biomes, a new boss fight and few but notable new weapons, enriching the Dead Cells experience for veterans and novices alike. All in all, a very good addition to the wonderful action roguelite by Motion Twin/Evil Empire.

At just $5, Fatal Falls is a must-buy for Dead Cells fans. It adds plenty of new content worth risking it all for, and if you haven't been indoctrinated by Dead Cells, you can net both Fatal Falls and The Bad Seed in The Fatal Seed Bundle, coming soon to Xbox. Just be sure this is the right game for you. It's a fast-paced, action-packed game that's one of the rogue-likes on the Xbox, and it's not afraid to chew you up and spit you out. With that being said, the base game is available on Xbox Gamepass, so curious gamers will be able to dip their toes in the Malaise before committing.
