Disgaea 4 Complete+

It’s hard to recommend a game such as Disgaea 4 Complete+, as it’s the sort of game that you either love or hate – there really is no in-between.

Another great and content-packed SPRG lands on modern platforms.

While Disgaea 4 is in many ways more of the same from the tactics franchise, its unique story, premise, characters and wonderful variety make it extremely fun to put hours upon hours into.

Overall, Disgaea 4 Complete+ is an excellent port of the original Disgaea 4: A Promise Forgotten. It brings over the classic simple but strategic RPG turn-based gameplay we loved about the original and brings new life to the game on current consoles. However, the game still keeps the same bugbears from the original Disgaea 4.

Disgaea 4 Complete+ puts out a great game on modern hardware, that much is indisputably good. If you've played Disgaea 5 and want something to tide you over until DIsgaea 6 drops later in the year, this is for you. If you want to jump in and use this as your first glimpse into the series, it's a great choice too. However you choose to play, just make sure to avoid the shady corporate "DLC" guy.

Although not quite as good as Disgaea 5, Disgaea 4 Complete+ is still a solid game and worth a look for fans of the series. It packs together a ton of content, runs nicely on PC, and has plenty of the fun combat and customization options that the series has become known for. Regardless, it does suffer from some rather glaring flaws, including its tedious equipment management, annoying geo block mechanic, and subpar storyline.

Disgaea 4 Complete + is an excellent experience. With good doses of humor, charismatic characters and a strategic variety that rewards the player the deeper he goes, any tactic fan will enjoy it for many, many hours.

Disgaea 4‘s time as top dog has come and gone, but Disgaea 4 Complete+ ensures that this wonderfully wacky tactical RPG will be anything but forgotten. Between the polished combat, loads of extras packed into the game, and the amazingly well-written story and characters, it’s hard not to fall in love with a game like this.

With all the trademarks that have defined the series, Disgaea 4 Complete+ allows PC gamers to once again venture across the Netherworld.

Disgaea 4 Complete+ is the definitive version of the game, with upgrades galore, tons of content to get lost in, and one of the strongest casts in the series.
