Disney Villains Cursed Café

For what it is, Disney Villains: Cursed Cafe is fine. It's a simple visual novel that gives some extra flair to some tried-and-true Disney baddies.

Overall, I don’t really know who Disney Villains Cursed Café is actually for, as it utilises a lot of older villains that appeal to a slightly older audience, but has a very simple gameplay loop and feel that are best suited to younger players. My best bet would be Disney adults with younger kids, especially if you want to instill that kids lie and shouldn’t be treated as something special, thanks to Captain Hook and Maleficent. Besides that, this game has little return factor and, unfortunately, won’t really scratch the itch from any other game.

Disney Villains Cursed Cafe is best handled in short bursts to carry on the cafe vibe. Personally, I play one day at a time to help carry the story, but it can all be completed within a couple of hours if you just want to see how it ends. Bully the Villains if you want or try to help them become better people; at the end of the day, it’s your cafe.

If you ever though VA-11 Hall-A needed to be more Disney-like, then Disney Villains Cursed Café will be what you’re looking for. The stories and dialogue got laughs out of me, an ardent Disney critic and naysayer, though it would have been cool if the characters were fully animated and voiced. It may be Disney fanfic, but it held my interest all the way to the end.

It won’t be the most challenging game you’ll play, but Disney Villains Cursed Cafe will delight fans of the stories and baddies in it.

Engaging dialogue and persistent mysteries make for an unexpectedly immersive experience, even if the production polish leaves a bit to be desired.
