Dollhouse: Behind the Broken Mirror seems to me to be a title that with its mystery and puzzle solving can hook you quite well, but its other problems can make you despair at times. Visually it's not great, but it has a very good atmosphere that gets you right into the character and the plot.

Dollhouse has some honestly good mechanics and ideas, and can be fun to play in short bursts. It's just repetitive, and it's unique multiplayer modes have likely never been played.

Dollhouse takes good ideas and puts them behind clashing mechanics. The randomly-generated landscapes all look the same, causing many issues with navigating and retrieving much-needed items. This pool of ideas lacks cohesion, and the minuscule payoff makes the tedium feel like a complete waste of time. Very little works in Dollhouse's favor.

Dollhouse can offer some jump scares, but with the confuse story and a gameplay that doesn't work very well, you could be frustrated.

Putting together what I thought was good and what I thought was bad I’m probably very half and half regarding the Dollhouse, I believe if I managed to play the multiplayer it could have massively affected my view on the game, but as it becomes very much repetitive and less scary it kind of knocks off the horror effect, I did enjoy the mystery side along with the thrill-filled ( at times ) chases! so I will be awarding the Dollhouse the Thumb Culture Silver Award!

Some interesting ideas and a decent style are wasted as mediocrity gets in the way of any scares

The feeling of tension and anxiety and fear of what might lurk around the corner are hallmarks of the horror genre. But eventually those feelings will fade when you realize the monster is usually behind you, and it’s the story that needs to do the heavy lifting. Dollhouse hits that point early and often because of its repetitive gameplay. The true enjoyment from Dollhouse is found not in its empty environments or repetitive tasks, but in slowly piecing together the history of the characters in the story. But it doesn’t change the fact that by the end, I just wanted it to be over. This is one movie that you shouldn’t rush to the theater to see.

...With some fixes the game’s aspirations may yet shine through and make this at least a decent campy exploration in the horror genre some time in the future. For now at least, players can only help but wonder what could’ve been.

An incongruously designed mess that should be avoided at all costs. Awful framerate, poor storytelling, and monotonous mazes make Dollhouse one of the worst games in decades.
