Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School

Escape Academy 2 lands the sequel spectacularly, bringing back everything that made the original so great, while enhancing it with more to do and an open world to explore. Co-op is a blast, but it does routinely leave one player out of the fun.

Despite its various problems, I really enjoyed Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School. The open world and the narrative were the aspects that surprised me the most in the game and kept me interested from beginning to end, always wanting to discover what new secrets and puzzles I would find during the exploration.

I greatly enjoyed my time with Escape Academy 2. Having to unlock my way into nearly every room gave me a consistent feeling of accomplishment with every puzzle completed. The game not only has some mainline quests for those who want to focus on the story, but there are also plenty of side missions to make the player explore every crevice of the campus. Sure, I didn’t necessarily play the game as recommended, as I mostly played in single player, but I can say from experience that both ways are entertaining if you just enjoy solving puzzles.

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School is a downright excellent follow-up to an already exceptional co-op puzzle experience so whether you're a freshperson or sophomore, you'll find a lot to love as you wander the halls of this puzzling academy. 🗝️

If you can look past some of the visual aspects or difficulty spikes between some challenges and are looking for a moderately challenging puzzle game to play that won’t have you ripping your hair out by the end, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School is a solid choice that rarely disappoints.
