While EXOcars can't replace Motorstorm in my heart, it's undeniably carved out its niche. Though not exceptional in terms of gameplay offering (at least for now on PSVR2), the game is a great virtual dive into the world of arcade racing. Well-crafted and, above all, incredibly fun to play, the title by XOCUS shines especially on Sony's headset thanks to its steering wheel support. Regardless of this feature, if you're looking for an easygoing, stress-free racing game, EXOcars is highly recommended for some thrilling rides.

EXOcars is now available in its full version, but it still feels like a promising early-access title. The physics, controls, and graphics all work well and are of good quality. However, the game lacks substantial content that could keep players entertained for longer than, say, two to four hours. On Quest and Pico, EXOcars may stand out more due to the lack of serious competition in the genre; however, on PC, it will be difficult for it to make a name for itself among the many other racing titles that can be played in VR, either through native support or via mods.

EXOcars aims high and so far so good on the delivery. The proof will be in the post-launch laps, with the community needing to embrace the game to drive it home. With stunning graphics and brilliant physics, the game really does deliver in pretty much all areas. EXOcars receives the Thumb Culture Gold Award.
