Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory / Fallen Legion Revenants is the definitive collection of two vexing-yet-solid action RPGs.
Read full review ↗Fallen Legion: Revenants is an improvement on its predecessor. With slick swordplay, a more fulfilling narrative, and excellent settings, this is one sequel that'll impress you immediately.
Read full review ↗The combat system is solid and works well with the adventure-like sequences, even if their presentation isn’t the best. For fans of the previous game and those who like games with plenty of narrative avenues to take, I can easily recommend this game.
Read full review ↗Fallen Legion Revenants has some great ideas but they don’t all come together as well as they should. The battle system is deep but not friendly to newcomers. The political talking sections were a good idea but just didn’t seem to compliment the experience. Overall, it’s an original concept with some flaws. Worth a look if you want to try something different from the norm. But for a third entry in a series, it seems it should be a bit more refined at this point.
Read full review ↗It’s just unfortunate that for every improvement Revenants has made, so comes a consequence which hinders it. Yes, battles now require more skill than button bashing, but the sheer amount of time spent slogging away hampered my enjoyment considerably. Driving the narrative by talking to people midway through battles is a welcome change but.it is instantly counteracted because a short window in which to make important plot decisions is simply not enough time. Too often you vote on a subject without having the full story, and the outcome isn’t what you would have aimed for.
Read full review ↗Fallen Legion: The Revenants is a collection of successful and unsuccessful ideas that have not led to a tailored and heart-wrenching combination.
Read full review ↗Fallen Legion Revenants feels like a game that actively fights itself. There’s a lot of potential here but it’s squandered by superficial ideas. Prolonging the combat with damage sponge bosses is a cheap way of doing it. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind when this is the case. It’s the tedium of the system as a whole that has me scratching my head. Sadly, none of the potential this franchise has was realized with this entry.
Read full review ↗Fallen Legion Revenants is a fine, role-playing title for those looking for something to grind. A deviant from the traditional RPG, that hopes to present something unique within a split story that occurs simultaneously.
Read full review ↗Fallen Legion Revenants is a fun action RPG with a well done story that overstays its welcome with drawn-out combat scenarios and frustrating stealth sections.
Read full review ↗I found myself much less interested in the characters or plot of Fallen Legion Revenants, and it's probably safe to just say I liked everything about this game less than its predecessor. I'm honestly disappointed. If developers YummyYummyTummy announce another Fallen Legion title, I promise they'll get my attention, but I'm going to have to wait a little longer this time before I let myself get excited.
