Why play it

GORN 2 is a ludicrous sequel to the hit VR gladiator simulator from Free Lives. It's bigger, wilder, and stronger than ever before, with mighty new weapons to wield, treacherous new traps to avoid, and new power-ups to imbue you with supernatural strength. Enjoy GORN 2's improved VR combat as you battle the five sons of the God of the Afterlife across an array of heavenly realms, with in-your-face combat so irresponsibly violent you'll check your headset for blood spatters when you're done.

Gorn 2 is more of the same, which means it offers plenty of over-the-top violence, but there's not much beyond the silly combat.

Gorn was fun and engaging years ago, but today it feels a bit clunky and outdated. Gorn 2 brings its concept into the modern era and is better in practically every way. It’s easier to control, looks better, offers more varied content, and draws you deeper into its fictional world. If you own a virtual reality headset and aren’t opposed to grotesque violence and adolescent humor, you shouldn’t miss it.

Gorn 2 doesn't reinvent the series, and it doesn't need to. It refines the original in smart, deliberate ways: tighter progression, sharper visuals, and more variety through new weapons and absurd traps. The core loop remains that gleeful, physics-fuelled violence, now smoother, better paced, and more reliably fun. For fans of the first entry, Gorn 2 delivers a more polished and engaging experience - a true sequel that earns its place in the arena.

‘Gorn 2’ delivers more of everything that made ‘Gorn’ a must-play for VR enthusiasts. Although the campaign is way too short for my liking, there is endless fun to be had playing with the Custom and Endless modes. Expressive combat, increased variety of weaponry, over-the-top violence, challenging boss battles and kicking the crap out of many Rokibe. What’s not to love about that? With only a couple of minor issues ‘Gorn 2’ is a solid entry and well worth adding to your PSVR2 library.

A solid sequel to one of PSVRs best games

More solid, more varied and sillier than ever, GORN 2 is the sequel that anyone who loved the first chapter must play. It doesn't invent anything new, it simply perfects and enriches every ingredient of the recipe that made its predecessor a cult. And that's fine.

"GORN 2" is pure VR joy distilled into a whirlwind of blood, laughter, and absurdity. On Valve Index, it plays smooth, looks fantastic, and delivers one of the most genuinely cathartic experiences VR can offer. However, unless you love custom battles and endless self-made challenges, its short campaign and lack of deep progression systems mean you might not stick around long after the first bloodbath ends. Still, for sheer pick-up-and-play madness, "GORN 2" is an easy recommendation — especially if you're the type who thinks "giant meat cleaver vs. hypnotized enemy" sounds like the perfect afternoon.

Gorn 2 offers substantially more gameplay than the original Gorn. The arenas, enemies, and environments offer enhanced opportunities for creative mayhem. The first game’s way-over-the-top stylized violence and gore transfer intact, along with its goofy sense of satire. I

Gorn 2 is a solid follow-up to the original; the new weapons, narrative and physics add so much to the already established formula of over the top.

While the original GORN was a standout VR title for its time, GORN 2 is miles above it in almost every conceivable way. It doesn't just hold up-it dominates.
