Hoggy 2 is a puzzler that’s generic in every sense of the word. Generic presentation, generic assets, generic levels, generic feel, and a generic concept that has been done many times before in many other flash and mobile games. I can’t really say much else about this, since it seems silly to have such a game cost $5 to begin with, especially with oddities like a pointless level editor. It’s weird to think that I hoped this would end up being a fun, brief puzzler, but when it’s so boring and something that makes me question what I’m doing with my free time, that’s a big problem.

With a balanced learning curve, its short levels are a good match for those moments where players want to enjoy themselves for a few minutes. Its level creator tool is a welcome feature but the lack of a way to share the levels that players create make it a wasted opportunity. In all cases, Hoggy 2 can bring some good, even if short, hours of fun to players looking for something accessible.

Hoggy 2 is a puzzle game that leaves us with more negative than positive feelings, largely because of its poor mechanics based on trial and error, causing constant tedium soon after the game. The difficulty of the puzzles is not bad at all and offers a challenge to match, plus the inclusion of a level editor to put our imagination to work. It's not a bad game but there are better options.

Hoggy 2 is a brightly colored puzzler for anyone looking for a way to blow-off steam. With the way each puzzle evolves, as it introduces new game mechanics, this game can also serve as a good lower-level strategy game for children to build skills. Still, its slow start may feel underwhelming for slightly older audiences.

Cute, colorful, and surprisingly challenging at times, Hoggy 2 is a budget-friendly puzzle platformer with very basic controls and a bit of charm as well...
