It just comes across as Psyop being afraid that the player is laughing at them and not with them. The narrative is focused on preemptively reassuring you that the developer knows this is a joke, and is not taking this seriously, and yeah it would be pretty cringe if this was serious but it isn’t. It’s all very unnecessary, and I kind of hope Behaviour and Psyop take another swing at the dating sim genre without all the self-conscious narrative clutter — because the good stuff is very good.
Read full review ↗Hooked on You has a great premise that will make it appeal to Dead by Daylight fans, but it doesn't bring much to the table to draw other dating sim fans in.
Read full review ↗Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim™ is a dating simulator set in the world of Dead by Daylight. The game features simple point-and-click gameplay and dialogue, accompanied by a great deal of boredom with a subtle erotic undertone. Personally, I think it’s a highly overrated title that owes its high ratings to the parent game—Dead by Daylight. But if you enjoy clicking your mouse and reading a lot of fictional pickup lines, you’re on the right wavelength.
Read full review ↗You’re here because you want to witness first-hand the fact that a Behaviour Interactive-endorsed dating simulator where you can date serial killers and monsters actually exists. Thankfully, the novelty aspect isn’t the only appealing factor in this game’s favor. It’s funny, snarky, and really well-written. There’s not a lot else that needs to be said. Hooked on You is exactly what it looks like. One of the weirdest games I’ve played this year, but one I certainly do not regret tackling.
Read full review ↗Ultimately, Hooked on You has some funny aspects to it that are worth checking out for Dead by Daylight fans, but for everyone else who might not be familiar with the lore, this feels like a weaker dating sim that isn't able to truly feel like its own game that's independent of the main series.

Read full review ↗Hooked on You will be quick to remind you that you’re pretty suspicious for trying to hook up with a murderer, so if you don’t mind a game you’ve purchased constantly shaming you for buying it, then be my guest.
Read full review ↗Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim is the definitive dating simulator for DbD lovers. With large doses of humor and double entendres, and four assassins to conquer, this nice dating simulator will have you hooked to the screen for a few hours.
Read full review ↗Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim will be a lot of fun for fans who’ve spent the last six years growing with the original Dead by Daylight. While the mechanics can become a bit stale near the end of each path, it’s almost worth it to get a closer look at each of the killers that we’ve become so familiar with over the years. Players who are new to the series may want to play the original before trying this one out.
