Hunter's Moon is worth facing Eldritch horrors for. It'll lull you with nicely-voiced narration before digging its claws deep into you with its gameplay.

Hunter's Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure is a rich, atmospheric roguelite deck-builder that is all about choice, tension, and building a world. It doesn't apologize for being hard, and it makes you carefully manage your health, Nerve, Doom, and the evolution of your deck. The fully voiced story makes every moment feel like it's part of a bigger, living story.

Unfortunately, the more I played, the more I'd encounter substantial performance issues and an overall feeling of imbalance. Give this one some more time to be optimized, and it'll be one of the best titles in the genre. Until then, it's still a good time, but hasn't yet reached its full potential.
