Just Dance 2021 fails to ever feel like a fully fleshed-out game, especially for the £50 price tag. Although the new tracks and the World Dance Floor mode are fun enough, it's hard to justify spending so much on a game that adds so little, and expects you to purchase more with thinly-veiled in-game advertising and upselling. If you love the series then you'll be investing no matter what we say, but we can't help but feel that Just Dance as a franchise has been resting on its laurels for far too long now.

The new Just Dance has no significant flaw. You don't have to unlock songs through the machine, the visual has been fine-tuned and a substantial mode has been added. But the greatest praise deserves the library of songs itself, which is simply the best, at least since Just Dance 2015 and 2016. I definitely recommend it to 10 points out of 10.

Just Dance 2021 is a title with good music and choreography, but fails to introduce new content to longtime fans of the franchise and looks more like a service disguised as a game. I hope that the lack of news in the title was a reflection of the moment we are living in, as the new coronavirus pandemic ended up delaying and affecting the development of several games. Maybe Just Dance 2022 might surprise us — there is no doubt that a new game will be developed.

Just Dance 2021 contains one of the best tracklists the franchise has ever had and makes meaningful improvements to the World Dance Floor and communicating players' performance to them while they dance. However, some childish maps and poor choreographies bring this tracklist down slightly. The core gameplay here is still good and I hope next year Ubisoft is able to fix some of the key issues this game clearly had being developed under COVID-19 restrictions.

Just Dance 2021 continues the franchise in precisely the way fans expect; beyond the 40 new tracks, this is virtually the exact same game as last year, and that is totally fine. Happy songs, bright colors, and fun animation make for a welcome good time, and the exercise certainly doesn't hurt. If you have never tried Just Dance, take the leap. It's much more fun than you think it is.

Overall, the Just Dance 2021 experience is fun, but at the same time quite limited and with few innovations. For the most fanatical ifans, the best option is to subscribe to Just Dance Unlimited and unlock the catalog with hundreds of songs - which is constantly updated, by the way - offered by the plan, instead of having only 40 playable choreographies.

Just Dance 2021 works fine with solid choreography, but with very few base game changes, Just Dance Unlimited feels like a much better option.

Refined but not innovated, Just Dance 2021 represents the series in stagnation. It still entertains, but the past few entries have seen little in the way of positive change. A couple of the prior editions on Switch are arguably better.

Just Dance 2021 just keeps doing the good things that the previous titles of the series were doing, without offering many innovations.

Just Dance 2021 is a continuation proposal that doesn't propose anything very new for this year, however, it doesn't stop being fun and a safe bet.
