KinnikuNeko is a classic platformer made with a lot of love, and it really shows. Great design, animations, story and gameplay… all crafted so anyone can enjoy it with a bit of practice and/or patience (or a lot).

KinnikuNeko: Super Muscle Cat is as absurd as it is charming, mixing 90s anime spirit, simple platforming and plenty of indie heart. Some collisions and physics are not perfect, but its humour, pace and minigames make up for it.

KinnikuNeko: SUPER MUSCLE CAT is a bizarre game that pays homage to it's otaku roots with full voice and no hesitation. The platforming gameplay falters pretty frequently, but it's worth the trouble to experience such a wild and clearly fan-driven experience.

KinnikuNeko: Super Muscle Cat is obviously designed to be silly, but manages to balance its sometimes juvenile humour with broadly solid platformer mechanics.

I had a lot of fun with KinikkuNeko: Super Muscle Cat; with some incredible japanese voicework and humor, the game got a few laughs out of me. It's a excelent game for its price point, but isn't as action heavy as other games of the same genre you'll find on the Nintendo Switch.

It’ll be over in a few evenings, but what a few evenings it’ll be with KinnikuNeko SUPER MUSCLE CAT. The anime styling is very cool, and only enhances a solid set of levels and abilities that we have to play with. A few more opportunities to switch between buff and cat Neko at will would have been great, but as it is KinnikuNeko SUPER MUSCLE CAT comes very highly recommended indeed.

KinnikuNeko: SUPER MUSCLE CAT is a densely packed weeb bonanza of jokes and challenging platforming that keeps platformer fans on their toes. His form may be mostly vanity muscles, but this cat is strong where it counts.

KinnikuNeko: SUPER MUSCLE CAT managed to have a glow up, turning itself into an interesting platformer for those looking for something far from seriousness, with jokes and an artstyle that manages to hook the player, besides a mild dose of challenge.

KinnikuNeko: SUPER MUSCLE CAT is a style-over-substance 2D platformer, but that style is wacky and weird enough to save an otherwise unremarkable adventure.

Behind all the bizarre premise, KinnikuNeko: SUPER MUSCLE CAT offers a solid platform game, with a narrative that is as common as it is captivating, mixed with intense doses of action and cuteness. And if that's not enough, remember that we'll hardly see a muscular kitten beating up invading aliens again.
