Generally, the game is packed to the absolute brim with content, and it's a blast to play, even if it never sees fit to reinvent the wheel.

The visuals are fun and lively, and the sound design is great. The marbles sound incredibly realistic and the noise of them on ice is oddly satisfying. While the gameplay loop of this title might not be for everyone, it does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a vibrant, snappy game that offers a nice handful of content for both single players and people looking to play with friends. Super Monkey Ball fans will get a kick out of it, too.

It's a game with a marble sliding through obstacle-filled worlds. Play it.

Marble It Up! Ultra is an absolute joy to play for anyone that has enjoyed the physics based marble rolling games of past decades. If you've never partaken in 3D marble platforming, there's no better entry point than this. Just don't expect the multiplayer lobbies to be fully populated without bringing your own group of friends.

Don't be fooled by the childish idea of Marble It Up! Ultra: here we have a highly competitive and demanding game, but without ceasing to be fun and accessible. Controlling a marble in the middle of platforms, ramps, precipices, bridges, tunnels and many other obstacles is surprisingly pleasant and addictive. Something else was missing for the game to be really amazing, not to mention the disappointing lack of local multiplayer modes, but even so, the title is a great choice for your library.

Delivers pretty well what you’d want to see in a follow-up with added features, unlockables, secrets, and challenges

Marble It Up! Ultra is one of the most plainly fun games around. Soaring through stages, finding new tricks and making new shortcuts while experimenting with momentum, and trying to clear tight times makes for an intensely exciting but easily digestible experience that I can’t recommend enough.

While the multiplayer might not be something that stays populated, the leaderboards do a great job of extending the experience beyond the campaign. And also the terse challenge of the bonus chapters and weekly challenges adds to the fun. It's a (marble) blast to see this come together as well as it does.

Despite some small hiccups with the general presentation of the game, Marble It Up! Ultra offers a fully featured package of over 100 intricately designed obstacle courses for players to learn and overcome.

Marble It Up! Ultra is good old fashioned ball rolling fun, and if racing past obstacles is your idea of a good time then you're in luck.
