I don't know if I'll see more games inspired by classic existential literature. Is a gaming adaptation of Camus' The Stranger on the way? Who knows? But for what it is, Metamorphosis is a pretty fun way to experience an all-time classic story.
Read full review ↗Metamorphosis manages to whip up an impressive tribute to Franz Kafka in its quick story thanks to its offbeat sense of humor, style and eye-catching world.
Read full review ↗Metamorphosis VR has so much potential, but movement is awkward and a fair few bugs held me back from appreciating it fully.
Read full review ↗While the story-telling, environments, and narration might intrigue, Metamorphosis VR has too many technical issues to allow one to truly enjoy the experience.
Read full review ↗Metamorphosis is a visually appealing game set in a Kafkaesque world of surrealism and dreamlike qualities. Unfortunately, there are bugs (not the insects in the game) that break immersion and make gameplay frustrating at times.
Read full review ↗This bug-filled game transforms you into a bug set right in a Frank Kafka novel. It's creepy-crawly, surreal adventure game fun. The visual, voice acting, and music put you in a magical insect world you will enjoy from start to finish.
Read full review ↗Metamorphosis is a game based on the world created by Franz Kafka in his novella The Metamorphosis or Die Verwandlung in the original German. It sees you take on this quirky universe from an insect’s point of view. Are you curious to find out what it’s like to have a pint-sized view of the world? Then read on…
Read full review ↗In the end, Metamorphosis is a good game despite issues with NPC animation and dialogue. Although intentionally creepy and psychologically thrilling, which some may be off-put by especially if they despise insects of any kind. Metamorphosis offers excellent gameplay, controls, graphics and music that makes you feel like a bug. For good or bad, depending on your perspective. Nevertheless, the game objectively achieves what it sets out to do with fantastic gameplay, musical and graphical elements. For this, it deserves credit.
Read full review ↗Metamorphosis has a great premise and a very intelligent story. I’m not gonna lie, playing as a bug in a first-person perspective was impressive at first. Too bad this one of the most unpolished games I have ever played in my life.
