MotoGP 24

MotoGP 24 sought out to provide what its community requested the most and those small handful of things are readily apparent in the game. Milestone didn't do that much outside of this, but the action on the track and the Career Mode are the highlights to what's offered here. Struggling on the track isn't an issue like it once was, and with the adaptive AI, racing is fun while still providing realism for players. The increase in visual fidelity is nice, but pausing the action may change some minds. A racing game should continue to build on its actual racing and MotoGP 24 does just that.

As a first experience with MotoGP, 24 was a great start point. While older versions are obviously on sale now, it’s worth shelling out the extra money for the cleanest feeling game. The biggest tip I can give if this is your first go at a MotoGP game is stick with it. Figure out what’s feeling wrong, figure out why you keep taking corners too wide, or falling, or whatever else may be happening. There’s a very steep learning curve, but even though I’m still “bad” at the game, I’m learning more and getting a better feel for it every single race. Now I just really need to get down not dying in the rain.

Even for those who aren't rabid MotoGP fans, there's a serene intensity to finally settling in while playing MotoGP 24. Every frustrating wipeout feels worth it once you're zooming around a curve without ever feeling the controller budge. If you've been waiting a few years to upgrade from a past edition, MotoGP 24 is the perfect time to leap forward. Despite a few areas that still need improvement, it's hard not to call MotoGP 24 one of the best motorcycle racing games in years.

Hard to find any real flaws in MotoGP 24. Milestone revises its copy and offers us what is most akin to an essential vintage for its series by correcting the main flaws pointed fingers on the previous version. The result is a game with extremely pleasant gameplay, providing very good sensations in addition to a particularly successful immersion thanks to the multitude of details and general content. Those disappointed in the past will have enough to satisfy their missed expectations in 2023.

All in all, MotoGP 24 isn’t a bad game at all. However, it could use a little more polish and much more innovation to justify the €49.99 price tag. The game offers a slightly improved career mode with the addition of race stewards and a rider market, but nothing more. On the other hand, it still falls short due to its flawed artificial intelligence and the implementation of adaptive AI, which, in my experience, doesn’t work very reliably yet. For owners of the previous installment, there probably isn’t much reason to upgrade. As for newcomers, I can recommend MotoGP 24, but be sure to at least turn off the adaptive AI while racing. Then you might get a quality racing experience that fully suits your preferences. Six and a half points out of ten.

Overall, however, MotoGP 24 is an outstanding racing game that impresses with its realistic depiction of the MotoGP World Championship and its challenging gameplay. It offers hours of fun and thrills for motorsport fans and racing game enthusiasts alike. If you're looking for a challenge, you'll quickly find what you're looking for here and can strike gold as a biker fan.

The MotoGP franchise continues its reign as the tightest, most refined motorcycle racing game on the market, but few standout additions to this year's game make it simply an incremental update over last year's entry.

MotoGP 24 manages, by taking a step back, to take ten steps forward, returning to being an accessible title for novices, fun for everyone, and challenging for those who want it.

MotoGP 24 is the strongest the series has been, with AI now being held accountable for mistakes, and other small but important additions.

MotoGP 24 left me the same as MotoGP 23. This new installment continues to generate the same genuine enjoyment at the controls thanks to its polished gameplay, but its novelties feel superficial and even a bit lazy. There is hardly any innovation beyond small additions. Why change bikes if everything feels the same?
