This manages to blend amusing moments with sombre elements to great effect. The result is an interesting game that keeps you guessing. The puzzles are fun, and searching each apartment unlocks a new piece to the puzzle. Therefore, there is a genuine eureka moment as you uncover the bigger picture mystery. Accordingly, despite its short playtime, it is great, and I recommend grabbing a copy from the Xbox store!

Yes, it is a relatively short game and you can beat it in one day. But that short session gave way to a deep story with loveable characters, fun gameplay, and, of course, two loveable mice that I think would make for some great plushies.

While the action can be a bit slight, there’s an amusing enough story and novel gameplay to make it a decent choice for cozy gaming fans

Despite the lack of challenge, the charming storytelling, cute world, and varied gameplay ensure that Mousebusters is well worth checking out. It’s a lovely, bite-sized adventure that respects your time, and whilst you’ll likely see everything it has to offer in just three hours, it makes for a cozy, funny, and occasionally heartfelt ghost story that absolutely hits the mark.

Mousebusters is an adventure game with point-and-click, puzzle, and shoot ’em up elements. The gameplay loop is okay, but slow at times. The characters are fun, but not all of them stick the landing. The narrative can be slow but picks up in the second half, leading to a satisfying ending. While it has issues, the last hour of the game more than makes up for them, and I enjoyed my time with it, especially since you can beat it in an afternoon.

Mousebusters is a solid little narrative adventure with a few shooty bits and a lot of heart. It’s not striving to be like the bigger games out there, and in the process it manages to be its own thing on its own terms. For anyone needing a break from heavier fare, this is fun little romp is a welcome change of pace.

Mousebusters is a compelling tale of a human transformed into a mouse, following the residents of an apartment complex as they navigate the struggles of daily life. It is an unforgettable story, rich with heart, that may even move players to tears! While it might not be Odencat's strongest title, players will not regret seeing it through to the end.
