New Gundam Breaker is a disaster. A near broken mess of an action game, even Gundam maniacs will struggle to stomach its many, many flaws. Its visual novel elements are so obnoxiously cliche that you'll have to stop your eyes from rolling our of their sockets, and the gameplay is a mix of clunky controls and unfathomable chaos. Add some unbelievably poor technical performance to the mix, and you have a Gundam game that's not even fit to be mobile suit scrap orbiting the Earth.
Read full review ↗The weird need to reinvent itself onto a competitive format has damaged this newest Gundam game every step of the way.
Read full review ↗New Gundam Breaker definitely has some great nuanced aspects to its core concept of mix-and-match mech model making, but what it needed was more variety to spice up the gameplay.
Read full review ↗The Gundam Breaker series finally hit the West, but it couldn't have done it in a worse way. New Gundam Breaker is not a bad game at all, but the many issues, such as low mission variety, performance issue, and mediocre story mode, outweigh its best features, mainly the huge amount of Gunpla models and the vast customization possibilities that come with it.
Read full review ↗New Gundam Breaker has more bad than good, the fascinating story and characters are overshadowed by repetitive gameplay, pricey Gunpla parts, and sloppy controls.
Read full review ↗New Gundam Breaker is a good concept, shoddily put together. The story is a trope-fest, battles are confusing and the masses of text are hard to read. There are so few positive points it's not funny.
Read full review ↗New Gundam Breaker feels unfinished. The combat system doesn't work, the visual novel is stale and uninspired, and the dating sim doesn't fit. In short: It's a pretty terrible game.
Read full review ↗New Gundam Breaker is such a bad game that it makes me feel bad for Gundam fans. I picture a 12-year-old Gundam fanatic that has saved up weeks' worth of lawnmowing mowing money, sitting with a controller hanging loosely in her hand, staring at the screen and crying. This is a game that should never have come to market, regardless of how much hard work went into its creation. To ask anyone to pay money for New Gundam Breaker is outright offensive.
Read full review ↗I still can have fun when I was creating my own Gundam model, but the combat part of this game is awful. I can't stand the low frame rates and coarse details, and the number of Gundam models are not satisfying me at all.
Read full review ↗You can play New Gundam Breaker only if you are a faithful fan of the series who loves plastic robots more than respects yourself.
