Modestly priced at $40, “Nier: Automata” offers dozens of hours of content in a port that sees sensible compromise (blurrier textures, a capped framerate) while retaining what makes the experience an opera of spectacle and mood. Its launch this week further strengthens the deep quality of the Nintendo Switch’s growing library, and it is immediately one of the best titles you could own on the platform.
Read full review ↗NieR:Automata is a modern classic. Most importantly for Switch owners, this is a top-notch port that has clearly been produced with respect and focus, often surpassing our expectations in both visuals and performance. Finding a comfortable seat and a pair of headphones makes the Switch version a wonderful way to experience the game, and it is an unforgettable journey. Nothing is as it seems, either in the story or gameplay, and it's one of the finest gaming achievements of the last decade. If you haven't played NieR:Automata yet, now is a great time.

It could probably work better as an OVA. But as a game, it's just a frustrating work of repetition and dire plotting.

Read full review ↗Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition is a game that easily stood out in 2017 and continues to stand out today with almost the same ease amongst the plethora of releases we see on the market.
Read full review ↗A game that everyone should try and reflect with every argument it drops left and right. The philosophical theme, the daring script, the melancholy of its art, the theatrical interpretation of each scene... all these are points that Nier:Automata reaches with a unique personality like few video games. In addition, The End of the YoRHa Edition more than fulfills what is expected as a Switch port.
