Noob - The Factionless is an imprecise and not very incisive video game, with an uncertainty based on a game design that does not offer particular novelties. A missed opportunity.

Noob: The Factionless is a production plagued by too many problems for it to be a valid entertainment even for the young users to whom it is addressed.

NOOB: The Factionless is an homage to classic JRPG ruined by too many flaws.

Noob – The Factionless isn’t an award-winning RPG, it’s simply a love letter to a genre that holds a special place in the hearts of many. It is definitely a game you play for the story, which is about a group of gamers who have dreams of making it big and who make a few friends along the way. A must play for those who grew up on the role-playing games of the last two decades.

While it has a novel conceit and decent enough mechanics, on the whole Noob feels a bit generic

As I’ve already mentioned, Noob – the Factionless took ages to grow on me. Even now, as I write this and think back to the gameplay, while I enjoyed some aspects of the gameplay, other aspects, such as the combat and conversation between the characters, felt like a slog through deep mud. Maybe that’s because I never liked MMOs as a way to play games. Overall the game does a decent job of paying homage to the JRPG classics of old. I would expect that you will like the game if you are a fan of the Noob web series, which I’ve never heard of. I like it, but there are better and more engrossing RPGs on the eShop that outshine this one.

Noob - The Factionless is like a love letter to JRPG games of the past and definitely pays homage to the game we grew up with. The visual side of the game might not appeal to everybody, while it can still be a really nice change of pace with its simple design and relaxed gameplay. What really makes the game stand out most is the unholy mountain of funny references used in the game, for example – ‘Lord Moldevort’. Get it?
