Blade Runner meets 1984 in Observer: System Redux, a tense and atmospheric psychological horror murder mystery.
Read full review ↗Observer: System Redux is a legitimately impressive overhaul. At long last, the PS5 has allowed Bloober Team's ambitions with this title to be properly realized. New quests slot into the experience wonderfully, Rutger Hauer's performance remains impeccable, and the game just generally has a lot more to offer this time out. While an overreliance on jump scares and a plot desperately in need of some trimming hold the experience back from true greatness, Observer's fancy new PS5 incarnation at long last feels like the title it was originally intended to be.
Read full review ↗Observer: System Redux is an excellent sci-fi murder mystery that packs a lot of detail into a tight narrative package, bursting with reverence for the genre but adding a dark horror twist that offers a compelling exploration of well-trodden themes.
Read full review ↗Released as both a remaster and an expansion, Observer: System Redux manages to fully deliver its promises, improving the original's experience with new meaningful content, quality of life changes, and massive visual improvements that leverage the power of the new consoles. The game hasn't changed a whole lot since the original, so those who did not like it in the first place will not change their minds with Observer: System Redux, but those that did will find the remaster to be a worthy purchase.
Read full review ↗Observer: System Redux arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 as the best way to experience one of Bloober Team’s most personal titles. Its measured investigative gameplay, cyberpunk setting, and journeys into the most disturbing recesses of the human mind still work perfectly, while the enhancements in this edition—combined with the new console's technical leap—eliminate many of the limitations that plagued the original Switch version. It may not be a revolutionary adventure in terms of gameplay, but it is a distinctive experience with a unique identity and an unforgettable atmosphere.
Read full review ↗Although I did enjoy most of *Observer: System Redux*, it’s a game I find hard to recommend to everyone. The game’s main appeal lies in its unique setting and atmosphere. And, of course, Rutger Hauer’s role as the main character is a definite plus. Gamers looking for something a bit different who love all things cyberpunk and sci-fi are sure to enjoy the game. However, anyone who wants answers to every question and is looking for plenty of action should steer well clear of this game.
Read full review ↗Observer – System Redux from developer Bloober Team is a psychological horror gameplay experience driven by old-school and new-school gaming concepts, while also being led by a fantastic story with a great lead actor. It’s not perfect, but it’s quite good.
Read full review ↗So, if you've never played Observer System Redux, now you have a new opportunity, with a port that, while not perfect, more than fulfills its purpose.

Read full review ↗The game is a perfect example of enhancing a classic original while maintaining all of the aspects that defined the game from the start. I cannot recommend this game enough for fans of the original and those who love a dark Cyberpunk adventure.
