OmegaBot is a fun platformer that serves as a strong debut from this solo developer. The gameplay feels like a fresh homage rather than a mere clone, with interesting characters and terrifically retro graphics.

OmegaBot is a solid side-scrolling action platformer, but it lacks that certain something to really stand out. The platforming is decent, but could be better especially when using weapons as a jump assist, while boss design leant too far in the direction of bullet sponges.

Omegabot isn’t a bad game by any means, and proudly wears its inspiration on its sleeve, in a world where you have to be unique to stand out it stands in the middle of the pack, not great, but not at all terrible, but worth a shot if you are having Mega Man withdrawals. (thanks a lot Capcom)

OmegaBot is a tough, rewarding platformer with a lot of heart to it. After a tricky start, the game hooked me to its conclusion. The challenge is steep, especially in those boss fights. But I couldn’t help but keep trying until I finally won the day. OmegaBot is an example of a retro-style platformer that mixes everything so well, and to top it off, its presentation, both graphically and story-wise, is unique and memorable. It shows even in the harshest of dark times, something very small and cute can be the light of hope. If you’re looking for something casual, this may not suit you. But if you’re up for the challenge, OmegaBot is no generic retro platformer. It’s something that may just surprise you.

A game that feels very personal. It takes you to a world that needs a hero to bring us hope and that will be able to fight against a threat to clash the peace. An adventure that reminds you of classics like Megaman or Cave Story with a wonderful adventure that lets you wanting more.

OmegaBot is a very basic action platformer, certainly enjoyable, despite its brevity but devoid of real distinctive elements.

OmegaBot has no big problems and no big highlights. A few more features would be welcome. However, with a good pace and challenging bosses, it fulfills its purpose of being a simple and pleasant adventure for those who like 2D platformers.

OmegaBot has no qualms about kicking your ass and telling you to GET GOOD. There’s no hand-holding here. If you’re on the look out for a tightly controlling, challenging game that has perfectly paced mechanic unlocks and varied boss fights then you’re in for a treat here.

OmegaBot is an old-school-inspired action side-scroller that doesn't really scratch that itch.

A tiny pixel robot saves a devastated planet in this little indie gem. The game brings a well-balanced gameplay and difficulty along with an interesting story. However, it is really short and without new ideas.
