In some respects, Once Again is a stronger storytelling experience than a gaming one, but both the heartfelt core message and its artistic presentation will surely resonate with some.
Read full review ↗I like it, not love, and I’m not confident I’ll even think about it after a couple of weeks. If games were still in rental shops, I’d say pick this up for a rainy afternoon and return it the day after, but, with such a low price, I’d just say grab it when you’re ready for a slice of melancholy. It’s a clever bit of frission, but I don’t think it’ll leave a mark on your soul.
Read full review ↗I really liked this visual novel; it was certainly unique. I’m not usually a big fan of these kinds of games, but there was something magical about this one. The theme is great, the story of Once Again is heartbreakingly gorgeous, the music is good, and the game does a great job of having unique art for each panel. I find that most visual novels don’t do that; there is always a lot of repeated artwork that can get dull after a while. This is a fairly inexpensive game, so if you love moving visuals novels, Once Again is a great game for you.
Read full review ↗Once Again has a fantastic foundation, but the follow-through just isn’t enough. We’re dying to know more about Sia and his time-traveling adventures with his mother - it’s just a shame that things are over before they even begin.
