Why play it

Pack orders and ship them out. But the warehouse holds more than just inventory.

Story and worldbuilding

Collect orders, pack them, and ship them out. Easy, right? The office is small, the shifts are long, and your cute little cat is your only source of comfort. At your desk, everything feels calm and under control—until you step into the warehouse. Receive Orders Start your shift at the desk by reviewing incoming orders. Each one lists specific items you’ll need to retrieve from the warehouse. Your goal? Reach the daily quota. Navigate the warehouse Armed with a flashlight and a limited set of tools, head into the sprawling warehouse to locate the items. Time is of the essence, so you’ll need to move quickly and efficiently. Avoid lingering in one spot for too long—time isn’t the only thing working against you. Pack and ship Once you’ve gathered the items, return to the desk to pack and ship the orders. Accuracy is crucial—mistakes are deducted from your paycheck. Survive and repeat As the days go by, the company’s demands increase, pushing you deeper into the warehouse. Unlock new parts of the seemingly infinite warehouse if you have enough funds. The further you go, the more hostile the environment becomes. Shadows move where they shouldn’t, and the noises grow closer. Stay sharp, keep working, and survive until the end of your shift—or until you can’t. Upgrade and improve Reinvest your hard-earned profits into tools that will help you perform your duties even more efficiently. Faster shipping tools, solutions for handling larger orders, and advanced navigation aids for the warehouse can help you meet company expectations seamlessly. And don’t forget about your adorable companion—use some of your earnings to buy toys for your cat, because your little friend’s happiness is just as important as keeping the orders flowing.

Jandusoft and Cybernetic Walrus want us to get spooked among the aisles of a department store.

I’ve never played a game like Order 13, and with horror and simulation being some of my favourite genres, it made this game a truly terrific and enjoyable experience. Audio was the star of the show, but I found every element to be exceptional. I’m hopeful Order 13 will continue to be updated and have me making my way back to the warehouse.

Order 13 is a striking title within the contemporary indie horror genre. By choosing a distribution center as a location and basing the gameplay on everyday warehouse tasks, the game creates a unique combination of routine and threat. The creepy atmosphere, the good sound design and the subtle build-up of tension make it an interesting experience for lovers of indie horror and cats.

Order 13 offers a creative horror experience that just slightly misses the mark when it comes to the final execution. If you treat it as an eerie warehouse simulator where your main goal is packing boxes (and occasionally spoiling your pet cat), the core gameplay loop is undeniably satisfying. However, if you are strictly looking for a terrifying survival horror experience with a clever narrative to go along with the scares, the repetitive enemy encounters and lack of a satisfying conclusion will definitely leave you wanting more. It is a fun and short distraction that is well worth a look for the novelty alone, but it just runs out of steam a little too quickly to make it essential playing for fans of the horror genre.

Order 13 by Cybernetic Walrus is a fresh and original horror game that combines elements of warehouse simulation with psychological terror and a powerful emotional impact. The story is shrouded in mystery, the monsters are terrifying, the cat is adorable, and the gameplay is challenging yet satisfying. If you’re looking for a horror game that breaks the mold and can surprise you, Order 13 is a great choice. Get ready for dark nights filled with fear and hard work. And don’t forget—you never know what’s lurking in the shadows of the warehouse.

The emotional weight of protecting your cat adds a personal stake that makes the escalating horror feel more intense. If you’re looking for survival horror with a touch of heart, this one’s a winner.

Aside from my issues with simulator sickness, Order 13 was an alright game. It’s designed with streamers and their audience in mind, so it’s not really geared towards people like me. That doesn’t mean it’s not fun to play outside the streaming sphere as it holds its own and the core loop is good, it’s just very obviously meant for the horror streamers. I don’t blame them, because honestly, if that’s what helps them sell the game, good on them. Conclusion. Game okay. Not great, not terrible. Good for streaming. The end.

The game blends the monotony of repetitive work with an oppressive atmosphere and growing psychological terror. The player finds themselves in the role of a solitary worker inside a mysterious distribution center, with only the company of their loyal cat. The task is simple: retrieve and ship packages. But as the shift progresses, it becomes more evident that something dark is lurking between the shelves.

Order 13’s fulfilment centre horror is a fantastic concept for a video game, but it doesn't take particularly long for the tension to be lost.
