Out of the Park Baseball 26, from developer Out of the Park Developments, is top-tier when it comes to sports simulators. Managing a baseball team and working with the organization is detailed so well on a micro level that you’ll find so many different approaches on how best to prep your MLB team. All of it is wrapped with a well-planned and implemented bit of information architecture, which makes it super simple to navigate through. In the end, this is a new bar for sports simulators.

While not an “On field” simulation, OOTP shines as an immersive baseball management sim. While full of interfaces and information to interact with, you have full control of your favorite baseball team at your fingertips.

Out of the Park Baseball 26 is once again a more than complete experience for MLB and management fans. The title continues to refine without changing a formula that works. From now on, I hope the franchise can continue its evolution by increasing its accessibility. Offered only in English and with a user interface that's sometimes messy, it's not easy to attract players. It remains to be seen whether these aspects will be improved in the future.
