Overpass 2 wasn’t the game I was expecting. It is a tough racer to get to grips with as the punishing terrain and fragile handling had me getting frustrated and annoyed because it felt unnecessarily hard.

I must say that I was quite disappointed with Overpass 2. Perhaps it is because my prior experience with racing games was with more polished and faster games. However, my review is based on my personal experience

Adrenaline racing in the wilderness shows us its muddy face again. And most racers probably won't like it very much. It is just so horribly boring and uninteresting, that it's hard to say even one single quality to try the game for.

If you have some patience to learn the dynamics of off-road driving and a powerful gaming computer, Overpass 2 promises hours of fun.

Overpass 2 is a disappointment that’s difficult to overlook. The game’s unrealistic physics, high price tag, steering issues, and the stark contrast between the in-game vehicles and their real-life counterparts make it clear that this sequel is a lackluster follow-up to its predecessor. If you’re looking for an off-road racing experience, it might be best to steer clear of Overpass 2 and seek greener pastures elsewhere.

Overpass 2 is a game that does no more than an average racing game. The different ways of riding over the different terrains are the most groundbreaking, unique factor. You don't have to expect much in terms of content. Besides the career mode, you have actually seen most of it quite quickly. And even the career mode is not very special and extensive. To be honest, Overpass 2 is still a fairly rough diamond that still needs some polishing, especially in terms of AI and perhaps also the number of tracks that are available. These become quite repetitive after a while. Overpass 2 is certainly not a bad game, but it doesn't really excel in anything either. The genre must really appeal to you if you want to get this game as quickly as possible.

Overpass 2 attempts to bring racing fans a complete package at a seemingly discounted price. What players will find with this experience is that this is one case where the old "you get what you pay for" addage rings true. Everything in the game's core elements from racing to team management is unsatisfactory and feels half-baked at best. Visual design, controls, and physics don't fair much better. Players will find better racing experiences elsewhere.

Overpass 2 is a different kind of racer, but if you're willing to stick with it, there's a decent amount of fun to be had.
