Path of Mystery: A Brush with Death isn’t a game I’d recommend to everyone. If you love anime and, above all, if you’re comfortable with English, then—along with the graphic novels—this game is for you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend buying it

A cast of characters with a brilliantly written and believable set of dynamics between them, a clever mystery, told well and surprising enough to keep its hooks into you, and truly gorgeous art and presentation. Aksys picked a good one to localise, and the game deserves more attention than it’s getting.

Path of Mystery is a game that is extremely easy to recommend, even for those who are not very fond of adventures or visual novels. Its humor, pace, and narrative design make it a very easy and fluid read, alternating with gameplay that presents itself with a new proposal that is mechanically well executed and written.
