It’s fair to say On A Roll does a good job of capturing the cartoon. It’s bland, repetitive, churned-out rubbish seemingly based on the mantra, “Oh who cares, it’s for three year olds.” I’ll tell you who cares: THE PARENTS.

Paw Patrol is a must have for parents that want to introduce their kids to educative games.

While its many positive themes are definitely commendable, the lack of challenge, level diversity, and options do no favors. The game also has no ending, and thus feels unfinished. It's an okay game for youngsters, but there's no innovation here. The quality doesn't match the price, so I'd wait for a reduction.

PAW Patrol: On a Roll! is a fun, charming and easy to play action platforming game on Nintendo Switch you should check out. Most of the game will be played from a 2D side view as you run and jump through each area, but some stages will mix things up by introducing a maze to complete from an overhead perspective, or present a flying section to change how you approach a challenge. If you're a fan of the show or have kids who are, then this is a great option!

Hopefully more professional games will start to fill this gaming niche and the overall gaming bar will be raised, but for now, I am pleased that Paw Patrol presents parents of younger ones with an option that lets their children learn and enjoy gaming in a safe space.

PAW Patrol: On a Roll is a good option for a Christmas gift since the game is available physically on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. It is very colorful and oozes cuteness and charm. The game has 16 levels in total set around different locations in Adventure Bay, and I'm sure any young kid you give this game to is going to love it. Hope you enjoy it!

As a game developed for kids first, the presentation is simple with a repetitive gameplay loop which doesn't offer any challenge. Kids will appreciate it for the first few levels, but even they can experience the boredom once the initial excitement is over.

A lack of official music from the TV show and being devoid of any vocals from the pups themselves does dampen the excellent attention to detail applied elsewhere however, which is a big disappointment to the young fan in my house who is so used to singing along to the theme song and to the Pup Pup boogie.
