Project Motor Racing isn’t broken, but it is frustrating. It’s the kind of game that constantly reminds you of what it’s trying to be, rather than letting you forget and simply race. There are sparks of potential here, but they’re buried beneath awkward pacing, inconsistent handling, and a lack of player-centric design.

Project Motor Racing is a game with enormous potential, but in its current state, it still has room for improvement. There are moments when everything clicks, when you're driving the right car on the right track, the AI ​​is cooperating, and you've gotten used to the twitchy controls. In these rare moments, Project Motor Racing reveals its potential. For fans of console racing simulations looking for a comprehensive career mode and an interesting selection of vehicles, it's worth keeping an eye on the game and waiting for further updates. Mod support, in particular, could become a unique selling point in the long run. I'm confident, however, that the announced patches will further refine the gameplay experience.

Project Motor Racing cannot in any way meet the standards of competitors such as Project CARS and "suffers" on multiple levels.

Project Motor Racing had a vision: to become a competitor to other established racing series, such as iRacing or Assetto Corsa, and to build on the success of the Project Cars series, which had won over many fans who had been eagerly awaiting another solid installment for years. However, Project Motor Racing falls short in almost every respect. Starting with a half-baked career mode with untapped potential and mediocre visuals, and ending with significant technical issues and a host of bugs. So who should I recommend Project Motor Racing to? As it stands, I wouldn’t invest in the game; however, if the developers manage to fix the technical issues and bugs, it could be a decent racing game for players who aren’t particularly fond of pure racing simulators. That is, of course, assuming Project Motor Racing goes on sale for at least 30–40 euros. For now, however, I’m forced to give the game only five and a half points out of ten.

Project Motor Racing aims to deliver a realistic and accessible racing simulation, with solid driving physics and a focus on track authenticity. While the core handling model can feel satisfying for simulation fans, the overall experience lacks momentum due to limited content variety and presentation that feels somewhat dated. Career progression and game modes don’t offer enough depth to keep players engaged over the long term. Despite its good intentions and technical foundation, the game struggles to stand out in a highly competitive racing-sim genre.
