Why play it
First released for PC in November 2021, Psychic Eclipse centers on the main character, Kay Yorshka, who lives in a shelter for people with supernatural abilities known as the Dome. This Nintendo Switch port brings new voices and stills to the game.
The main scenario is written by ICHIHA, the writer of Nakigara no Tori and Beast x Light. Reo Uratani, who has created music for the Monster Hunter series, provided the opening song and Ichihara composed the game’s BGM.
Story and worldbuilding
"On that fateful day... The sky was stolen from us forever." The year 20XX. Humans develop the technology to artificially awaken psychic powers. Doctor Hokushin Kadoku developed this revolutionary technology, which is later dubbed the "Polaris System", and it changed life as we knew it. A ranking hierarchy based on one's powers, the appearance of new jobs... The concept of the "Second Talent" of humans spreads all over the country like wildfire, and even crosses borders into the entire world, taking firm root in society. The human race, which has gained a magnificent power, is on its way down a path of a happier future than ever before. Or at least...it was supposed to be.
