Players looking for a sci-fi retro shooter experience with a bit of modernization will no doubt enjoy Rogue Flight out of the box. The replayability comes into question as it comes off more grindy than an arcade shooter or the unlockable roguelike mode should. The visuals and the experience along with the voice acting are superb, while the soundtrack is fantastic and most fans of this genre will enjoy the music alone. The steep PC requirements for an indie title may hurt this in the end, though.
Read full review ↗Rogue Flight serves as proof that Runner was no fluke and that the developers at Truant Pixel are simply masters of minimalist arcade gameplay and graphics. What may seem like an unassuming little game at first glance is actually an almost addictive and thrilling shooter that will delight your sense of aesthetics and satisfy your craving for explosive action.
Read full review ↗ROGUE FLIGHT is the perfect love letter to classic space shooters with a modern touch. A brilliant soundtrack, numerous customisation options, and plenty of ways to play, there's a little something for everyone here.
Read full review ↗Rogue Flight is an on-rail space shooter that perfectly combines elements and playable mechanics from classic titles like Starfox or Space Harrier, with multiple options and features from more current titles, all wrapped in a retro anime aesthetic from the 80s and 90 that will remind us of titles like Macross, and that really gives the game quite a bit of packaging. Despite having room for improvement, especially technically and at the level of optimization, Rogue Flight will more than satisfy fans of the genre.
Read full review ↗Rogue Flight is the most classic of love letters. Truant Pixel's dedication is toward the rail shooters that so raged at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. However, the end result proved to be much more concrete than a simple nostalgia operation. As frenetic as it is explosive but always and consistently galvanizing, Nadia's adventure is a little gem of game design thanks in part to an art department that pays homage to great classics of Japanese animation. Let yourself be enraptured by the pure arcade experience: it's worth it.

I’m an easy mark, the second I see something with wings loaded into a tube, I’m already in. And the sky isn’t crowded with a lot of options. Rogue Flight zooms past expectations into a cool, scrappy game.
Read full review ↗With a simple but well-implemented graphic and playable scheme, Rogue Flight is a safe bet for every lover of classic shooters. Of course, keep your reflexes oiled.
Read full review ↗Rogue Flight is a bold take on the shmup genre, blending classic high-intensity space shooter gameplay with a narrative that raises the stakes for every mission. Players will pilot the Arrow, a powerful yet occasionally hard-to-control ship, through challenging stages that feature branching paths, customizable upgrades, and relentless enemy swarms. Though some boss encounters can be frustrating due to tight positioning and unclear weapon stats, the game’s anime-inspired visuals and deep replayability make each victory all the more rewarding.
Read full review ↗As an arcade rail shooter, Rogue Flight hits all of its marks. It doesn't aim for anything outside of the norm, but that allows it to focus entirely on its frenetic gameplay and anime setup/presentation. Players of all skill levels will be able to hop in and enjoy.
