Steins;Gate 0

Despite having a small number of grievances, none of them were significant enough to detract too severely from the overall experience. Simply put, Steins;Gate 0 is both a fantastic visual novel and more than a worthy follow-up to the first game.

Steins;Gate 0 is essential for fans of the original and a fascinating experience for newcomers. A great continuation of the classic virtual novel and anime world, it's not a format for everyone, but if you have the patience for leisurely paced sci-fi, then this is a worthy investment.

While the game is incredibly gripping, be prepared to read through thousands of words to get to the heart of it.

Steins;Gate 0 adds a lot of characters to the mix this time around, but perhaps the characters that it adds aren't used to their full potential.

For my part, Steins;Gate 0 probably will not be joining that list of all-time greats. But I am glad to have played it. I’ll speak fondly about many parts in the years to come, even if the completed puzzle isn’t the picture I was hoping it would be. Maybe check it out sometime.

While Steins;Gate 0 doesn't quite have the same emotional impact as its predecessor, this full-fledged sequel stands out as one of the finest visual novels and an amazing chance to reunite with the members of the Future Gadget Laboratory.

Fans will be satisfied with how the tale running through Steins;Gate 0 is told with a narrative that rarely stands still in the present without coming off confusing.

Although the darker themes may throw fans, Steins;Gate 0 tells a grand tale that fans of the series will still enjoy immensely due to how well the characters and story as a whole are written.

Although an important piece of the story that sets up the true ending to Steins;Gate, it wouldn't be an absolute disaster for fans to brush over this one. The character writing is excellent, and the concepts and effects of AI in this world are intriguing, but the fact the story drags itself out for so long means it can be tough to get through this novel. Thankfully, quick saves and the very fact this is portable by nature help to make getting through much easier by picking it up for a bit before bed each night.

Steins;Gate 0 is a fantastic continuation of the Steins;Gate franchise, which science fiction fans should not miss.
