Sumerian Six confidently steps into a niche genre that seemed destined for silence after the closure of Mimimi Games. Artificer successfully inherits that legacy with both respect and creativity, delivering a game that is polished, imaginative, and layered, skillfully blending classic mechanics with fresh, well-implemented powers. A few occasional difficulty spikes and a less-than-sharp AI slightly weaken the experience, but not enough to overshadow the game’s overall solidity and originality. The result is a tactical adventure that stands out for its atmosphere, pacing, and cinematic flair, once again proving the consistent quality of Devolver Digital’s lineup.
Read full review ↗Sumerian Six makes an excellent transition to consoles, successfully adapting its tactical stealth gameplay and complex controls to a gamepad. Combined with strong technical performance, this version stands as a great way to experience the game outside of PC.
Read full review ↗Even in its console debut, Sumerian Six has proven itself to be an excellent representative of a highly niche genre. A real-time stealth strategy game from Artificer, inspired by the legacy of Mimimi Games, it plunges players into an alternate-history World War II setting to lead a team of scientists with supernatural powers against the forces of the Third Reich. Thanks to excellent level design and engaging abilities, the experience is solid and genuinely fun despite an AI that isn’t quite polished and a balance that can be disorienting at times. And besides, who hasn’t dreamed of defeating the Nazis with a werebear?
Read full review ↗I absolutely love the thoughtful pacing of Sumerian Six. Weighing up every movement and action, knowing that one wrong step could mean the end of your life and the level, is thrilling.
Read full review ↗Filling a niche that has been left empty for three years, Sumerian Six is a very welcome return to grassroots stealth action; absurd gadgets and abilities give you the edge over your enemies but don’t take away from the primal fun that comes with dodging vision cones and setting strategic traps – it may come with the faults of its genre baked in, but it more than makes up for it in both style and substance.

Read full review ↗Sumerian Six fills a very niche hole that few developers have capitalized on. Its six characters and complex maps give players a wealth of options to creatively take out power-hungry Nazis, where careful planning is the best reward.
Read full review ↗Like I mentioned this one was not on my radar, no pun intended, and I was pleasantly surprised. A few glitches with the enemies soured the experience a little but not enough for me to not recommend the game still. Even as someone who doesn't gravitate to stealth games, this one was successful in integrating a system simple enough to pick up and swap between characters easily and make you feel satisfied clearing an area whether by yourself or through an automated, planned team effort. It has a thorough save system to boot which absolutely helped make the game more enjoyable with my trial and error. For sure, I recommend it as a really solid game.
Read full review ↗Made so much better now that I can play it on my Xbox. Artificer has crafted an enjoyable game that blends the occult and science in an interesting story AND lets you knock out some Nazis, what’s not to love here?
