Super Mario Party Jamboree itself is still fantastic, but the mixed new content of the Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV re-release adds frustrating limitations and strange design decisions to what was otherwise a polished, customizable experience.

Mostly, I am just happy that there is a good Mario Party available in the Switch 2’s launch window. It’s not a game I see myself booting up on my own, but as a means to get a party going with players of all skill levels, I am glad I have it on the metaphorical shelf.

Though Mario Party Jamboree’s Switch 2 additions are of mixed quality, its best additions, which take advantage of the Switch 2 hardware, undoubtedly elevate what’s already one of the best series entries.

Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV gives an already fantastic party game a huge shot in the arm, with a bunch of brilliant Mouse Mode and mic-based games that also allow you to see your big silly face as you play. It's all very knockabout, very easy to use, and very easy to enjoy. With a huge base game packing seven boards and a whole bunch of modes, and the Switch 2's new tech adding to the fun in meaningful ways, this is a thoroughly delightful and totally family-friendly way to party Mushroom Kingdom-style.

Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV is especially suitable for the people who have not yet bought it on the Nintendo Switch. The new functionalities are fun to use and Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV is just a nice party game. The mini -games are fun to play and that you can also invite people online is just nice.

Super Mario Party Jamboree represents one of the most complete and creative titles in the franchise to date. The inclusion of Jamboree TV mode adds an extra layer of fun with new and dynamic attractions, while the seven boards, alternative modes like Frenzy and Team Mode, and Jamboree Duos bring variety and strategy to traditional Mario Party matches.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a bigger and better version of a fun title - the camera functionality only adds to the experience.

Unless you expect to get a lot of mileage out of the specific Mario Party additions to the game, including the goofy camera support, faster Frenzy mode, and novel Tag Team mode, you're likely better off just playing the original Switch 1 version. The barrier for entry for the Switch 2 Jamboree TV content is very high and while I've been digging most of what's added to it, the new additions are on the whole middling. This might be the most fun I've had with Mario Party since the Wii, but I also would much rather have a brand new Mario Party game on Switch 2 than this weird frankenstein.

Although the new modes are a bit weak, there's no denying that Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV is a sensational multiplayer game.
