Survivalist: Invisible Strain offers a unique take on zombie survival. It is not as polished as bigger-budget games, but it compensates with depth, personality, and a world that rewards curiosity.

Survivalist: Invisible Strain is a complex and immersive survival game that offers a unique blend of strategy, RPG, and simulation. If you’re looking for a game that emphasizes dynamic characters, complex relationships, colony building, and tactical combat, then you shouldn’t miss Survivalist: Invisible Strain. The game isn’t without its flaws, and the graphics could be better, but thanks to its depth and variety, it offers hours of entertainment for discerning survival game players. And with Steam Workshop support, the possibilities expand to include mods that add new content and enhance gameplay, guaranteeing virtually unlimited replayability. Add to that the ability to play with up to three friends in co-op mode, and you get a game that has the potential to keep you entertained for hours on end. So, as far as I’m concerned, it’s a definite yes.

A zombie game with character and class, this is a title that may be divisive in terms of its design and layout, but I can imagine it’ll gain quite a hardcore audience of fans that relish its indie charms. The fact that it’s currently available on Xbox for a tenner is astonishing when you consider the amount on offer, and, as it has been created by such a small team, it has that quirkiness, verve and drive that only indie games driven by a solitary vision can generate, warts ‘n all.
