Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance stands out thanks to its campaign, meaningful choices and constant feeling of being outmatched by the machines. Some AI and pathfinding issues hold it back, but deep strategy, strong atmosphere and a solid soundtrack make it worthwhile.

Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance: We Are Legion is a great DLC that isn't entirely unique but adds another thought-provoking narrative and even more satisfying strategy gameplay to a title that already made you wonder how bleak the future will be.

RTS from the Terminator universe continues the fight with the first DLC, where you lead the attack of the machines in the campaign. And you will enjoy it. The missions are excellent and the price is very reasonable.

Finally, a game that deserves the love of Terminator's fans.

Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance is an enjoyable real-time strategy game set in the fantastic Terminator universe. However, as you play, you’ll constantly feel a sense of constraint and untapped potential that the game clearly had. It’s nice, it’s good, but in the realm of RTS titles, it’s a solid average—it won’t offend anyone, but it doesn’t particularly stand out either.

Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance proved challenging, confronting us with hosts of well-armored and well-equipped enemies. In critical situations, with often few soldiers and constant front reversals, the action was sustained and able to engage us at all times.

Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance is a strange game that doesn't seem like it would be all that fun at a cursory glance. Dig deeper, however, and you'll find that all of its smaller systems mingle together in a way that brings about one of the more fun and unique real-time strategy games out there. It's also the only one where I've had to count individual bullets on soldiers.

Terminator: Dark Fate Defiance is overall a good modern-style RTS (so no resource gathering or base building) with a presentation that, considering budget restraints, can be very satisfying despite some drops in framerate. However, be warned that the campaign can be fairly frustrating even at medium difficulty.

The unexpected complexity of Terminator Dark Fate Defiance proves to be a key element in restoring dignity to the saga from which it draws inspiration, traditionally unfortunate in its videogame adaptations.
