Story and worldbuilding

The year is 1864, at the end of the Edo period. A group of men bravely took action to extinguish a burning house. Those men were part of a group called the Shinsengumi. In order to protect the city of Kyoto, they would rush to any place that needed them. The curtain rises on the crusade of the members of the Shinsengumi, whose hearts burn as passionately as a the flames they fight...

We might not have any of the real classics just yet, but The Amazing Shinsengumi is a perfectly good stand-in while we wait.

What it lacked in story, it made up for in visual appeal. The romantic choices were different enough that it felt like a unique story for each choice, but the interaction between lovers seemed a little artificial at times. The art is pretty enough to make me want to continue on just so I can see the gallery pictures.
